Over the past four years, The Bank of America Chicago Marathon has been a significant fundraiser for the Foundation. In 2005, the first year we participated, Mike DuVall and Mark Matsuo raised nearly $15,000 with the proceeds used for the Duke Laptop Project. In 2006, The Evanosky Foundation was accepted as an associated charity of The Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and we raised over $20,000. In 2007, our Team Evanosky runners nearly doubled our previous efforts and raised over $38,000! In 2008, we were once again an associated charity of The Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Even though the event is over, you can still donate and support a Team Evanosky runner by clicking here.
In addition, we were also a participating charity with the Chicago Distance Classic, a half marathon held in Chicago on Sunday, August 10. This event was designed for both runners and walkers, and Sonya Evanosky and several other competitors participated on behalf of The Evanosky Foundation! Although the event is over, you can still support a runner by clicking here!
